BIBLE – The collection of the 39 books of the Old Testament (originally written in Hebrew and Aramaic) and the 27 books of the New Testament (originally written in Greek), written over a period of 1500 years by more than 25 authors, believed by Christians to be the inspired Word of God. Some Bibles also include the Apocrypha as part of the Old Testament.
