Foundations is the basic doctrine study taught at Saddleback Church and is a key component of their “second-base” (maturity) Purpose Driven strategy. Its goal is to help Christians develop a Christian worldview---the ability to see everything through the filter of God’s truth. Too often, doctrine is presented as boring, complicated, not relevant to one’s everyday life. However, a Christian worldview based on God’s essential truths has a lifelong impact on the way people look at everything around them, above them, and within them. This study lays a foundation for this new perspective and provides benefits for the rest of life.

The Foundations study will:
· Lessen the stress in everyday life
· Reveal the God-given potential for growth in each individual
· Increase a sense of security in an often troubling world
· Provide parents with tools for helping their children develop the right perspective on life
· Help each person fall more deeply in love with the Lord
· The twenty-four sessions in this kit cover the biblical perspectives about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Revelation, Creation, Salvation, Sanctification, Good and Evil, the Afterlife, and the Second Coming.
· The complete kit includes two separate teacher's guides, one participant’s guide, and a PowerPoint CD-ROM with slides for each session. Each item is also sold separately.
